Guideline only, based on a shelf supported at both ends with an evenly distributed load and a sag limit of span/180. Acrylic slowly creeps under permanent load, so the long-term setting uses a reduced modulus. Concentrated center loads, wall-bracket mounting, and temperature extremes all change the result — when in doubt, go one thickness up or ask us.
